Dear Partners in Christ,
I am in awe of how the Holy Spirit works! In October at our Breakfast Club. One of our middle school girls gave her life to
Christ, praying with one of our volunteers to receive Jesus. Recently another one of our youth came to
one of our after school Drop-in Programs, but she hadn’t told her mom that she was coming (we always
encourage youth to let parents know when they attend an event). She was worried that her mom was going
to be mad. “Lord, I pray that Beth’s mom would be cool with her coming tonight. In Jesus name, Amen.” Her
prayer was confident and spot on! In the morning we all met again. We asked Beth how it went with her
mom. She said I texted my mom…
Beth: “I’m sorry Mama” Mom: “For what?” Beth: Pause
Mom: “Did you go to Church?” Beth paused, and then decided she would just tell the truth.
Beth: “Yes.” Her mom’s response…
I was impressed by the confident prayer of a new believer, “in Jesus name”! And the honesty of Beth.
Please be in prayer for our youth as they receive Christ and grow spiritually!
Please continue to be in prayer for Austin Youth For Christ as we expand our outreach within Mower
County.
We are actively fundraising, networking and praying for outreach starting in Southeast Mower
County (Lyle, LeRoy and Adams).
